Optometric Technician

Eyecare Professionals is hiring an Optometric Technician to assist providers with clinical patient care and diagnostic testing within our busy optometry office in Mandan, North Dakota.

This position focuses heavily on patient preparation, clinical workflow support, and diagnostic pretesting prior to eye examinations. Candidates with prior medical office or technician experience are encouraged to apply, though training may be provided for motivated individuals interested in eye care.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for evaluation
  • Perform preliminary vision and diagnostic testing before examinations
  • Document patient information and assist with chart preparation
  • Support doctors during clinical workflow throughout the day
  • Educate patients regarding testing procedures when needed
  • Assist with maintaining exam room readiness and equipment organization

Qualifications

  • Interest in healthcare and patient care environments
  • Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude
  • Ability to work efficiently in a clinical setting
  • Professional communication skills
  • Prior optometry, ophthalmology, medical assistant, or healthcare experience preferred but not required

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday
  • Daytime clinic hours only
